a place like no other
A unique place to call home, John The Watchmaker's Great Country Park is designed around a beautiful central green space created for the well being of all who live here.
something incredibly special
We’ve put a great deal of thought and care into how our Craft Collection homes look together to create beautiful street scenes.
it’s about time…
With Bodmin so deeply steeped in history, we set our hearts on embracing the past in the development of this exciting new neighbourhood.
On our quest we learned about John the watchmaker; a like-minded pioneer from Bodmin who shared our passion for precision and innovation. A ground-breaking inventor of his time back in the 18th century, John Arnold’s magnificent timepieces were coveted by King George III, to whom he gifted the smallest ever watch set into a ring, and Captain James Cook, who relied on John’s famously precise, temperature-compensating ‘chronometer’ to guide him on his grand voyage of discovery.
So John The Watchmaker's Country Park was born, with our mission to build a place to live like no other. In the true spirit of John Arnold and our Georgian-inspired Craft Collection, we’re creating a fusion of what was great then, great today and will be for tomorrow. What can you expect from living here?
This neighbourhood is the perfect place to call home. A place where you can relax and feel you belong; where magic childhood memories will be made, surrounded by nature.
According to The Sunday Times this is one of the best places to live in Britain, based on a long list of important lifestyle factors including jobs, schools and broadband speed to culture, community spirit and local shops. Boasting a bustling, traditional high street and surrounded by vast open moorland stretching as far as the eye can see, John The Watchmaker's Country Park enjoys the best of both worlds. Perched on the edge of town you can stomp out across the moors with the dogs, wander round your own unique neighbourhood park or take a casual stroll down to the friendly local shops —where you might be tempted to stay a while, by the delicious aroma of scones baking in the many cafes and tea rooms.
