built to last
Inspired by Britain’s greatest Georgian architect, John Nash, responsible for the most stunning Georgian streetscapes of Bath, our bunnyhomes Craft Collection boasts the best of the era. Built to last without compromise; for those who enjoy the finer things in life.
symmetry & stature
There’s something about the harmonious symmetry and effortless elegance of Georgian architecture that holds a special place in the hearts of the British people.
Now for some history. Back in 1701, the first brick house in our region was built in Bristol, at a time when it was one of the country’s largest and most important provincial cities. The building of these first Georgian streets and squares was the very start of large-scale suburban development in Britain. They were the first fashionable suburbs of streets, squares, circles and crescents of elegant terraced houses which exemplified the best of Georgian good taste, uniformity, proportion and careful attention to detail.
Our Craft Collection bunnyhomes are Georgian-inspired, built using modern day techniques. We use the latest materials and technologies for outstanding performance and durability, making our homes purpose-built to stand the test of time for today’s more demanding lifestyles.
Our expert specification team have procured some of the finest products sympathetic to our Georgian styling without compromising on quality or performance. Take our guttering and downpipes for example. We’ve sourced these in an elegant, traditional-style rather than opting for the standard used by most housebuilders and it makes such a difference. The same goes for our artisan-made porches, coach lantern style outdoor lights and slate house numbers. Each small detail adds up to a big difference.
the sash story
If we’re building Georgian-inspired homes why aren’t we installing traditional sash windows? For so many reasons. Our larger format sash-style windows are modern-day equivalents of the originals. Made from high quality PVCu, they’re made to look like they’re constructed from individual panes of glass but it’s in fact one piece of glass, making them stronger, better insulated and much more secure.
Our sash-style windows are A-rated for thermal performance and are manufactured, tested and certified to comply with the requirements of ‘Secure by Design’, the Police Approved standard of security. Being PVCu means they’re also extremely low maintenance compared to traditional timber sash windows that need to be treated and painted regularly to keep them looking their best.
It’s also interesting to know that when we fit our windows, we fit them behind the external brick/block of the building. This is the same method used in areas of very extreme weather, where it helps prevent water ingress.
