  • Mortgage brokers
  • Solicitors
  • Surveyors

We will not share your personal information with any other third party.

Transfer of your information out of the EEA

Some of our external third parties are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA) so their processing of your personal data will involve a transfer of data outside the EEA.

Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the EEA, we ensure an adequate degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring appropriate safeguards are in place.

Cookies and other tracking technologies

We would like to send you information about our properties and other services, competitions and special offers, which may be of interest to you. Where we have your consent or it is in our legitimate interests to do so, we may do this by post, email, telephone or text message (SMS).

We will only ask whether you would like us to send you marketing messages when you opt in to receiving communications from us.

If you have previously agreed to being contacted in this way, you can unsubscribe at any time by:

  • Contacting us using the contact details provided at the start of this policy; or

For more information on your rights in relation to marketing, see ‘Your rights’ below.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have a number of important rights free of charge. In summary, those include rights to:

  • Access to your personal information and to certain other supplementary information that this Privacy Policy is already designed to address (commonly known as a “data subject access request”)
  • Require us to correct any mistakes in your information which we hold
  • Require the erasure of personal information concerning you in certain situations
  • Receive the personal information concerning you which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to a third party in certain situations
  • Object at any time to processing of personal information concerning you for direct marketing
  • Object to decisions being taken by automated means which produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you
  • Object in certain other situations to our continued processing of your personal information
  • Otherwise restrict our processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios:
If you want us to establish the data's accuracy.
Where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it.
Where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
You have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.

For further information on each of those rights, including the circumstances in which they apply, see the Guidance from the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) on individuals rights under the General Data Protection Regulation.

If you would like to exercise any of those rights, please contact us using the contact details provided at the start of this policy and let us have:

  • Enough information to identify you (e.g. your user name or registration details)
  • Proof of your identity and address (a copy of your driving licence or passport and a recent utility or credit card bill).

Keeping your personal information secure

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

How long we will keep your personal data for

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

How to complain

We hope that can resolve any query or concern you raise about our use of your information.

However, you also have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection issues (ico.org.uk).
